Colorado Keuring Date and Location Correction!

The keuring date will  be September 10, 2009. The Keuring site host, Cheryl Jones, formed a keuring committee, and after a vote, has chosen to hold the Keuring, once again, at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Castle Rock, Colorado. Please contact Cheryl Jones at crystalpeakfriesians@peakinet.net.

Please contact Cheryl if you would like to volunteer your assistance with the 2009 keuring.

The CFHC is pleased to announce that we will be planning some special services for the members who will have Friesians entered in the Keuring.

2009 Inspection Application

Application PDF

The actual application form. Includes applicable inspection fees and payment information.

If you have more than seven (7) horses to be inspected, use multiple copies of this form.

Height Certification

Certification PDF

When horses (other than foals) are inspected, the FPS requires that the height of the horse be measured.

If there is no height measurement, the registration document will not be issued.

Occasionally, members will leave the inspection site without having the height of their horse measured.

This form provides a means for documenting the height of a horse as measured by a veterinarian.

The FPS has agreed to accept this certification of height.

IBOP Tests and explanation of scores

Explanations of requirements and scoring are included.

And, yet another change of heart! YES! Colorado will get the 2009 Inspection, after all!

THANK YOU, SO MUCH, to the concerned Friesian Owners of Colorado, and even Montana and South Dakota!  YOU saved the Colorado Inspection for 2009!!!!

Please see the email from Jason Tice, below!

Sherri,

I have taken your comments and concerns back to the committee.  The committee has reconsidered, and is going to allow Colorado their inspection.  Normal protocol is for me to contact the previous site host to see if they would like to again host the keuring this year.  Cheryl Jones has agreed to host the inspection this year with the following stipulations:

 Date: Sept 10, 2009

Required Horses: 30

Need 75% of these horses registered by July 1, 2009 or the site may still be cancelled.

We are going to reserve Sept. 11, 2009 a day of rest for the runners before they move to Texas.

I appreciate your comments and concerns and I am very happy that we have been able to resolve the Colorado Keuring.  If there is anything else I can do, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

 Have a great weekend!!!
